Having your boiler serviced annually is important to ensure it's
running efficiently and safely.

A faulty boiler can be incredibly dangerous. During a boiler service, our Gas Safe and OFTEC registered engineers will check for leaks and issues, giving you peace of mind when it comes to protecting your family. Small problems can become big ones if left unattended, therefore by servicing your boiler regularly, our engineer can detect and fix any minor problems to help avoid future malfunctions and larger, more costly repairs. During your service, our engineer will also carry out a host of checks to ensure your boiler is working efficiently. This will help to save you money over time, as a more efficient boiler costs less to run. How efficient your boiler can be depends on its age and the type you have.

If your boiler is relatively new and still within the guarantee/warranty period, the manufacturer will require that an annual boiler service has been completed to ensure your guarantee/warranty remains valid. In addition, many household insurance policies require you to complete a regular service to ensure your boiler is safe, to keep your insurance valid. An annual boiler service will meet most insurance policy requirements, though you’ll need to check with your insurance provider to be sure. Summer is the best time to book your service in. Not only will you be making sure you’re set for winter when you’ll need your boiler the most, but also our engineers tend to be less busy during these months.

For landlords, a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer must, by law,
check gas appliances and flues annually to ensure everything is safe and
sound. The required checks include boilers, but they also cover other
gas appliances such as stoves and fireplaces. We also issue a gas safety
certificates to landlords once your boiler has been serviced as your
evidence that the annual checks have been completed.

A Landlords Gas Safety Inspection Certificate CP12 is required by law
to be issued every 12 months by a Gas Safe Registered Engineer.

It is a legal document which confirms that all gas appliances and
installations work lawfully and within normal parameters at the
time of inspection. We can carry out these inspections on behalf
of landlords and letting agents, as well as ensuring that all gas
appliances are regularly maintained and kept in good working order.

Over time central heating systems produce a build of rust and
black sludge called Iron Oxide from the water that constantly
circulates around the piping network.

Power flushing, also known as jet flushing and hard flushing,
is a technique that clears and flushes out the debris by the use
of applied pressure and cleaning and mobilising agents.

The technique used to flush out debris is done at very low
pressure so as to clean and descale the pipes without putting
unnecessary strain on the heating system.
